Here be the choices, but there were some hard calls (Solas just ended up being way lower than I normally would rank because of how high certain others went.)

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

🍂 Sharing eerie and autumnal pieces every Monday/Friday to Halloween 🎃

Happy Halloween! Since it's the 1-year anniversary of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, today's story is Hunger.

A village, a curse, monsters in the woods. Evka & Antoine's first adventure.

Life gets much easier when you figure out who you are in the bracket of the tournament in a martial arts movie.

Take me. I’m not the winner. Nor am I the bad guy the winner has to beat in the final. But I’m def semi-final, hero-learns-a-lesson-from-my-defeat material.

And there’s grace in that.

I associate my college years with an exhilarating realization of entirely new ways of perceiving the world—strange, challenging, rich precisely because they were not intuitive. I was a normal middle class kid from a public high school and *this* was available to me, this feral time just to think!

My spicy take is that Bioware doesn’t deserve Dragon Age anymore. Kiss your rockets and get out.
Mass Effect update (kinda) where Mark Darrah provides insight on where BioWare stands after The Veilguard.

If ME5 does well, he implies that it will turn into a "forever Mass Effect studio."

If your law is good when there are good people in office, but dangerous when there are bad people in office, your law is bad.
Separately and notably, GLAAD — which dropped its opposition to KOSA last year after changes to the bill, easing its path to Democratic support — told me it now wants lawmakers to review the bill in light of "changes in the FTC and other government leadership." www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

I have been looking forward to Seven Part Pact since its early days! And am so impressed by it everytime I revisit it!

As a known Wizard Lover, happy to see the love and attention to detail paid to such an underrated niche of Game Design!
Last month, I spent a week playtesting @jdragsky.bsky.social's the Seven Part Pact in a fancy house in Bath. I write about the most maximalist RPG I've ever played.

Bigass post from me on the Quinns Quest Patreon. I played The Seven-Part Pact, the upcoming wizard RPG from @jdragsky.bsky.social that threatens to bring the design of comedically sprawling board games to TTRPGs. And it's grrrrreat www.patreon.com/posts/fan-cl...

This is fascism—there are no checks & balances if legislators are arrested for questioning a member of the executive branch.

I struggle to understand how to best operate in this reality. I'm making incredible progress in my state, but uprooting this kind of evil feels beyond the scope of my office.

Once again, I am angry at how the Dragon Age devs were set up to fail by EA's mandatory switch to multi-player live service and then back again. So angry for the devs. Dragon Age deserved better and so did the team behind the franchise.
NEW: What went wrong with Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Why was the writing so tonally inconsistent? Why did it feel so shallow? Why were there so few choices?

Really, after ten years of turbulence, it was a miracle that anything came out at all. This is the story: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
