Babyface my cat (grey, Persian, extra fluffy) kicking fuck out of the bathmat bc Reasons. He has hold of it with his front paws, his back paws are kicking it to death and he is biting it I have no idea why he dislikes the bathmat so much but you can guarantee every time he comes into the bathroom there will be violence

A double British mains 240 volt plug socket. There is a 4 way adapter plugged into it which has been wall mounted underneath and so is masquerading as an official socket. It also has a cuboid extension plugged into it which has a plug at the front with a large X on it in black marker (😬). Essentially, there are at least 6 if not 7 things plugged into it and it looks like the opening to an episode of the TV drama Londons Burning

Just knocked up a wee thing for Blackpool council
Hi On Monday evening, my husband and I drove to Blackpool to see the illuminations. Its something I've done many, many times over the years, something which I have fond memories of as a child, which I wanted to share with my husband.  My husband came to the UK to study for his Masters degree at Cardiff uni from Nigeria in 2020. He moved to Manchester as a post-grad in 2022, where we met and we then married in 2024. We love to do cultural activities together, visit different cities/towns etc and it's really nice for him to see and experience the things that shaped me growing up, and gives him a greater appreciation of the UK. Our visit to Blackpool was completely soured by every single lamppost having a tatty England flag attached to it. The flags symbolise to us both that he, and others like him, mainly people of colour, are not wanted. We all know why they have been put up, and by who. They have sinister tones of racism, and are extremely off putting to anyone who is aware of why they are being put up. Frankly, it makes us feel unsafe to us to visit places like that.  I would assume that you would want everyone to see the famous Blackpool lights, regardless of where they were born, or how they came to live here. This is not the way it appears. It appears that white people are welcome and 'Others' are not. As we drove down the promenade, he said to me 'all I can see is the flags' and it was just shit. Shit, embarrassing, upsetting. So we came home to Old Trafford, another big town for tourists and where there are exactly zero flags on lampposts.  I dont expect a reply to this email, I don't need one. I just wanted to let you know how this feels to people of colour, and their friends and families, who visit Blackpool. As a diverse country, this behaviour needs nipping in the bud, especially in places that attract visitors to the UK. The chances of him ever wanting to go back are absolutely none. You need to be aware of the negative impression this will have on your town and, more importantly, the impact on people whose main takeaway from visiting is that they are not welcome there. Mancunians: NAME THAT VENUE
The edge of a lowered dance floor curves round, up a few steps is a bar. Various random people stand or sit at tables, they are all ages, all genders, are largely Black or mixed heritage. To the right of the bar there is a large image of a fist raised in solidarity 👊🏽 thusly The stage area of the venue. There is scaffolding visible on stage, it's all a bit rough and ready looking (and it is). On stage there is a very young white man front and centre in a parka playing a bass (I think), the other 5 members of the band are older Black men playing keys, sax, drums, guitars etc. There is beautiful, ornate but incredibly shabby golf leaf architecture visible on the balcony to the upper tiers of the venue. Some people are dancing, some people are seated at tables on very cheap looking fold out chairs

This is one of my favourite buildings, is just round the corner from my house and I love it bc it's so incredibly weird
InSitu building on Chester Rd, Manchester Its a 3 story red brick building, fancy, random af. Arch windows, square windows, white bay windows on the 2nd floor. It has some sort of turret on the far right and in the centre top right a kind of protruding section for unknown reasons. It's one of the only old buildings left on the road and you can tell its seen some shit Another pic of the same building shot from the end where you can see its a wedge shape. No idea. It looks like it could potentially have once been a pub. Nailed on its haunted
