Our group is starting “Third Place Thursday” - on the first Thursday of every month we will be having a social gathering in Medina County (OH) where progressive folks can come hang out, relax, and build community.

Some behind the scenes! Signs have to be taken off the holders, and organized into type - different places locally recycle or accept different types of signs so we have to separate them. We also sort the sign metal by size so they’re easier to load in and out.

Thank you Medina County!! With your help we were able to recycle HUNDREDS of signs and keep 506 pounds of metal sign holders out of landfills! You guys are amazing!

This is hope with teeth. It's not about trusting that things will get better; it's about refusing to let the bastards win, even if things get worse. It's a kind of hope that doesn't wait for permission or assurance. It acts, it disrupts, it fights tooth and nail to carve out a sliver of something better, even if it's only for a moment. A fuck you optimism doesn't lie to itself. It sees the train wreck coming and still decides to plant flowers on the tracks. It knows full well that the flowers might get crushed, but plants them anyway, because the act of rebellion is its own reward.
