I tutored two kids to read for several months and I never let them guess. we never read the same book twice. I'd shuffle phonics flash cards. it's tedious! there's only so much you can do to make it a game. but every book doesn't have pictures 😖 context can't fix everything

uhhh this actually reminds me a lot of how LLMs function at a basic level too - predicting tokens based on proximity & context, etc 😬 ...so we're teaching kids to read like AI & saying AI level is good enough

did I miss something? the courts tell him to do stuff and he ignores them. Congress took over a month off, I guess partly to keep the Epstein files locked up. he pardons anybody he likes. we're bombing boats in the Caribbean. ICE keeps expanding. who stood up to him? other than foreign businesses?
