In lieu of writing a ridiculously long profile, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m a travel writer and editor, based in South Oxfordshire but obsessed with Scotland. More generally, I’m interested in slow and sustainable travel, and family hols beyond kids’ clubs and cliches.
This was honestly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had as a family - and I’m so pleased to see it go live on The Guardian today.

This was honestly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had as a family - and I’m so pleased to see it go live on The Guardian today.
Travel writers! Are there any (UK) train companies out there happily providing comp or discounted travel for articles (without having to promise a good amount of text about the train and/or a photo)? It feels like pulling teeth most of the time.
