What's a card in Pauper you wish saw more play?

Don't you mean Aang Gaang? I'll see myself out.

Yeah, Wizards stressed that ideally they don't want to use all seven ban windows next year - but offers insurance in case something happens.

There isn't a guarantee all seven ban windows will be used next year, but provides an opportunity for Wizards of the Coast to make changes if required (per WeeklyMTG).

It's really cool to see the UK Magic scene growing and cultivating these community-ran events outside of the usual CommandFest and Magic Spotlight cadence.

We're in dire need of more Magic events in the UK - support them if you can.

If you aren't feeling Pauper and just want to jam Magic - then Cube Clash will be happening alongside UK Nationals.

This is a community-ran Cube event that's on the rise and it's my favorite way to play Magic (sorry, Canadian Highlander).

Anyways, I appreciate y'all reading my very off-tangent thoughts about Magic as I was looking up various Edge of Eternities cards for an upcoming feature. 🫣

Guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't think a serialized Rebecca Guay Headliner card adds any actual value (not monetarily) compared to printing the same thing without it.

I'd prefer serialization more in Universes Beyond sets as it serves a broader audience, but that's a minefield in itself.
November 11, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Maybe it's because of March of the Machine and the four-dozen different serialized cards you could open, but I've always felt serialization was misplaced with in-Magic sets.

It feels more Universes Beyond than in-Magic, I think you need to be more deliberate and do the opposite with in-Magic sets.

I don't know, I'd be way more jazzed to open a stunning Rebecca Guay Headliner card without the serialization attached. It detracts from the aesthetic of the card in my opinion, I prefer in-Magic releases to have Headliners without serialization - Sothera, the Supervoid is a great example of this.

I don't think non-Universes Beyond releases have the same pull when it comes to card serialization compared to Universes Beyond ones. There's no doubt Magic is turning into a collector's game, but that's because of the pull of Universes Beyond (and let's be honest, FINAL FANTASY).
