Great news about the scrapping on the two child limit, but the media are at it again - the "benefit cap" and the "two child limit" are two different policies!

Congratulations to Independent Food Aid Network for becoming a Gold Standard 4-day week employer!🥳🥳

Tackling food insecurity is one of the great responsibilities of our time. We are delighted IFAN have seen the benefits of implementing a 4-day week to aid with the delivery of their services.

It's critical to focus on the particular challenges faced by children under 5 and the devastating reality that a quarter of these children are food insecure. The first priority must be to address the key driver of families' poverty (lack of income) through a #CashFirst approach.
🚨NEW report today from the Education Policy Institute shines a spotlight on the problem of food poverty for under 5’s and how it can be addressed.

The report makes the following recommendations👇

“Our focus must be on permanently reversing this devastating trend while ending the normalisation of a charitable response to poverty.”
🚨 Over 1.4 MILLION emergency food parcels were provided by food banks in our community in just 6 months. This is 69% higher than the same period 5 years ago.

This can't go on and we refuse to stand by while so many of us are pushed to the brink, without enough money to live on.
