Ever wondered what a single-cell atlas for social behavior might look like? We have one just for you, our soon-to-be completed MSTP graduate student, Simona Sarafinovska, worked hard to bring you this brilliant pre-print! Check it out 👀 doi.org/10.1101/2025...
Single-Cell Resolution of Individual Variation in Hypothalamic Neurons Allows Targeted Manipulation Affecting Social Motivation
Despite decades of research, connecting molecular and cellular phenotypes to complex behavioral traits remains an elusive goal1. Social motivation exhibits individual trait variation2, which we hypoth...

Our new preprint using sex-biased genes for accurate deconvolution of sample identity in single cell transcriptomics is out! This work (led by PhD student Guy Twa and @rphillips3.bsky.social) may be useful for labs that incorporate both sexes in single cell RNA-seq.

Accurate sample deconvolution of pooled snRNA-seq using sex-dependent gene expression patterns
Single nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) technology offers unprecedented resolution for studying cell type-specific gene expression patterns. However, snRNA-seq poses high costs and technical limitat...
