A modest change to #SCOTUS's appellate jurisdiction over courts-martial goes into effect today.
Previously, the justices could hear appeals only from cases that the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF) heard. Going forward, the justices can also act when CAAF *denies* discretionary review.

Wrote not one word in the baby book from January through November of this year. Placed a huge photo order at the end of November and just finished filling out all of the little memories our family has made over the year today, the 22nd of December. 2024 New Year's resolution achieved, I'll say.

Living in the #PNW made me care a lot more about the physical environment than I ever did before. Driving in #HamptonRoads (Norfolk/VB) just makes me want to scratch the current traffic environment and start over until a world exists in which everyone can safely walk/take #publictransit everywhere.

A half-day at the Virginia Aquarium made for an amazing day off with my toddler, but given the number of strollers/toddlers/young kids that must go through there everyday, I really wish they'd make all of the doors connecting the different parts of the aquarium accessible.

If the woman who pointed out the injustice of having to pay all day parking at the Newport News courthouse parking lot when hearings generally take no more than an hour is on this site, I heard you yesterday, and you have inspired me to also complain to the city about this issue.
