In the midst of severe threats to our patients, funding
& career prospects, we keep working on TB science bc the problems are important & we are curious & able. Collaborating 🇿🇦🇺🇸 & the trust it requires is an act of resistance and hope. The next generation of scientists is my motivation and hope.

The WHO is the best of us. Cooperation in pursuit of health for all. Last year it was a highlight of my career to be invited to WHO as a technical expert on TB. Now I’m so sad at the US’s recklessness. Let’s turn our outrage into donations & support.
