I live in a rural, bright red county & I watch the county commissioners most every week. We got >$8 million. I can’t remember anyone saying “It’s a trap! Send it all back!” And the Public Health dept got ~$1 million to pay for extra expenses incurred bc of Covid.

Some good news: I'm proud to have secured the federal funds to make this happen.

In Congress, I’ll always go to the mat for public transit because it's always been a top priority for people in WA state.

Expanding light rail is a win for jobs, commutes, and so much more. 🚈🚈

THIS. This is what I was looking for.

In June 2025, Secretary Kennedy dismissed all 17 existing members of the ACIP. Those *currently* on that panel are essentially quacks.

And because most Americans can handle nuance, this entire debacle massively damages institutional credibility.
Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns.

Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.

From the Guardian: Hegseth adds an apparent call for virtual impunity for serving soldiers, writing: “Our troops will make mistakes, and when they do, they should get the overwhelming benefit of the doubt.”

Will soldiers disobeying Hegseth’s order get the same benefit of the doubt?
Hegseth told soldiers under his command in Iraq to ignore legal advice about when they were permitted to kill enemy combatants under their rules of engagement. The anecdote is contained in a book Hegseth wrote last year in which he sharply disparaged the Geneva and Hague Conventions.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

This is both offensive and intentional. If the ICE agents are "ignorant" they are willfully and deliberately ignorant. Their job is not to uphold the law but to terrorize non-white Americans in service to the white nationalist cause.
