it’s a terrible thing only they know happened—only the three of them. while it brings cherry and thancred together in some ways, i think it drives a sort of wedge between cherry and minfilia. it’s awkwardness and regret more than anything.

knowing thancred—lahabrea—killed cherry weighs on her quite heavily. i don’t think minfilia enjoys keeping secrets from thancred—not when they involve him so directly.

minfilia has many echo visions of things cherry wishes to keep to herself, actually; her family, her shame, what she’s done in eorzea to try to find the original wol. it robs cherry of choice. but it also allows her to connect with someone like she never has before. it’s complicated.
