screenshot of text that reads thancred sits on the loveseat in front of the fireplace beside her. a needlework project—meant for her to practice fine motor movement and stay present—lay untouched in her lap, fabric and hoop resting in her limp hands. thancred is so close that his hip and thigh touch hers; his leg leans into hers; he drapes his left arm over the back of the couch, his hand dangling to brush against her bare shoulder. if she were there, she would sink into his side heavily, leaning on him with remarkable, sudden weight as she goes all but limp. she would nuzzle into the crook of his arm, maybe pull his arm down to wrap around her shoulders instead. she would sniff, just barely audibly, taking in his scent. she would purr softly and immediately, the tip of her tail flicking happily. but she does none of those things. thancred presses and holds a kiss to her temple, his expression tight as cherry continues to stare into the dancing flames in the hearth without so much as acknowledging him. he doesn’t say anything—what is there to say?—and instead gently takes her untouched project from her lap and sets it on the coffee table to be collected later. he plucks a book from the ever-crowded surface—an indulgent, shoddily written mystery novel—and settles in once more to his faithful place at her side. “are you in there?” thancred murmurs, his left hand carefully combing through the fur of one of her large red and white ears. the appendage twitches reflexively, but otherwise cherry does not seem aware of his presence.

did some tweaks to her eyes today... lmk your thoughts
cherry's old eyes, which are vibrantly colored, feline, and almond-shaped. they usually are scaled up with c+, and are scaled up here to reflect how she usually looks. cherry's new eyes. the colors are the same, but the shape of them is larger, as are her irises. there is no c+ scaling, as this is an attempt to move away from relying on it for her facial features.
