Gender-based violence: It’s not just Across Canada, people face violence every day because of their gender, gender expression, gender identity, or perceived gender identity. This is called gender-based violence (GBV) — and it’s a violation of human rights. GBV is often misunderstood, and even more often dismissed as “just a girl thing”. But GBV affects us all, and it’s everyone’s job to stop it. It’s not just a minor problem Gender-based violence is prevalent across Canada, and it has a serious impact. 160 women and girls were killed by violence in 2020Footnote i 44% of women in Canada have experienced some form of violence by an intimate partner in their lifetimeFootnote ii 7 million women in Canada have been sexually assaulted at least once since the age 15Footnote iii 61% of women aged 15 – 24 experienced unwanted sexual behaviours in public placesFootnote iii Younger women experience higher rates of gender-based violence. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the disgust I feel about it, until this post.

fake feminism does more harm than good.
I never really concerned myself with her in the past. However, she has married a MAGA supporter, after making billions off of duping mainly liberal, white feminists. One of her main marketing tactics was being pro-women and pro-LGBTQ. You cannot be that while having sex with/marrying a Trump supporter. How does this tie into 4b? She teaches women that it's ok to subvert everything you stood for, in exchange for attention from a man that supports legislation that literally harms/kills women. However, she still has her "feminist" roots, so people associate feminism with women that have no true sense of self, or that won't actually take the actions to stand for what they believe in. I know 4b and feminism are not one in the same, but she is throwing a HUGE wrench in preventing women from actually taking tangible, logical steps in order to not bow down to those that are oppressing us. I also feel like (non-performative) feminism is the main segway into 4b. Maybe the possible progression could look something like: performative feminism → non-performative feminism →> 4b. Still, after all of this, many self-proclaimed feminists and pro-women women adore her. What????

Will my commonlaw girlfriend be entitled to any of my house money when I sell? Only has my name on the deed and I bought it before she moved in? • Nova Scotia I bought a house before COVID, a year later she moved in with our one kid. We have another kid together a year later. House more then doubled in value since then. 100k place to a 200k place. The house is only in my name, she barely helped with any of the mortgage. Will I owe her anything? Say if I sell the house, then we find a place to rent afterwards. Then we break up, will I owe her any of the house money?
