It might have been you, but I saw someone talk about Kirk and Kimpioka not getting us high up the pitch when we were struggling. Sidibeh done exactly that and it's nice to see the manager notice these things and tweak the system slightly mid-game.

Neilsons physicality isn't enough for CB, but seems perfect for RB. Helps that he's good at passing and is willing to go forward and not just sit back as an extra man.

Essel looked good in that high CM position, he was in line with the strikers during the press.

I liked the link-up play between Neilson, Essel and Holt near the end, some very nice stuff to beat the Killie press.

Have to say all the subs came at the right time and worked as intended. Sidibeh and Neilson brought a bit more energy down the right. Same with Essel. KC finished the game off well.

Aye the 442 diamond seems more like Valakari working with what he's got at the moment rather something he wants to use all the time.

I think once Uche becomes available again, the plan could be to have a more attacking CM alongside Sprangler and Smith?

Have Uche hold the ball, he can play it back to Smith or another CM, who can play it through for the overlapping wingers/strikers (Sidibeh and Kimpioka at the moment).

I really like Smith in midfield, and think he should be starting over Carey. He's much better at pressing and I think can do more damage early in the game at CM.

Carey is definitely a good option off the bench, and I think using him like we did vs Dundee is where he'll thrive.
