I buy too many of books. Usually during Lent, I give up book buying and I donate the value of the books I would’ve bought.
This year, I am giving up Target because of their policy shift on DEI. If those I care about can’t sit at the table, their hand doesn’t belong in my pocket.

As counterintuitive as it is, Trump’s tariffs probably won’t be inflationary, they will depress the economy because they will shut down trade. The last president who used tariffs like a sledge hammer instead of a scalpel was Herbert Hoover.
