This and more is what we should be doing.
In Cali's Bay Area, where towns have been trying to criminalize giving food, water or legal advice to the homeless, there was a "picnic" of 1,387 cakes on Saturday, for those bringing cake & buying tickets. Meanwhile, the Dept of Agriculture has canceled $500 million of food for food banks.

Way to go, Atlantic - NOT!
Hey look, it’s The Atlantic continuing to marginalize people who don’t want to get infected repeatedly with COVID.

You know, this patronizing story pairs well with new reporting about long-term damage from multiple COVID infections.

Enchanted ... with color. There's something about color that is so evocative and makes me feel so passionate about this earth we call home. Earth Day is right around the corner, and so I think about this beautiful planet and its great beauty - a treasure I hold dear. 🩷💜💙

I enjoy shooting orchids with their beautifully varied shapes and vivid colors. When I want to get really creative, editing with a Georgia O"Keefe painterly look adds a whole new dimension of working with these gorgeous blooms.

Some outstanding photography!
With all the new faces here, I figured I'd also say hi and reintroduce myself. I am a professor of physics, astronomy and earth science, among other things, but most of what you'll get from me are photos of our immensely beautiful planet. Sharing that beauty is my passion; we're so lucky to be here.

Wait. What if it's not lockdowns from 5 years ago and a lack of infections causing "immunity debt", but actually repeated infection with a virus with known immunological, cardiovascular, neurological, and many other effects?!?

The additional strain on top of the social care problem is caused by #COVID. COVID is causing a continuous cycle of health problems and immune problems leaving many open to more infections. We urgently need #CleanAir & masks in healthcare. It’s unsurprising as we are still in an official Pandemic. 🧵
8 major hospitals have declared critical incidents in the last 24hrs alone.

Some of the 100s of patients stranded on trolleys, in corridors & in the back of ambulances will likely die there.

This isn’t normal, inevitable or attributable to viruses alone. (1/2)
