Hunting pretty diffuse scattering patterns, disorder in functional and geo materials.
For the next round you should keep in mind that #hauyne has beautiful satellite reflections. I think reciprocal space beauty is an argument that should be taken into account here. @stecanossa.bsky.social

You should also consider the diffuse scattering satellite right before the conference: ecanews.org/sig-14/2025/...

True the Fourier is typically slow, but the generation of the disordered model is at the moment even slower, I guess. But the Reverse Monte Carlo community should be able to benefit a lot

definitely not just the speed, I can spot the Braggs in there!

@stecanossa.bsky.social I guess you would be a master of this :-)

That looks really cool, also to figure out the different types of stacking and how they are related.... So I guess I have two weeks till my lecture where I want to talk about close packing to start shopping and building....

Oh, I should also prepare such large structural models for our lectures. 3D works so much better than just showing them on screen.

Thank you! I keep telling myself that I should try to sell diffraction patterns as art or bathroom tiles to raise funds for the research :-)
