No Evidence Supports Using Graded Exercise for ME/CFS
Studies examining the effects of activity-based interventions haven’t required post-exertional malaise as a core criterion for the now-termed ‘myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.’

I love kids. I have two of them. They’re amazing. However, kids are the absolute least self aware, clumsiest little puffins on the planet.

Please don’t drive tonight unless you have to, and if you do drive, drive super slow and pay 100% attention at all times.

Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻 💀

Saskatchewan scientists screened the entire human genome and found four approved drugs: donepezil, dihydroergocristine, trametinib, and sorafenib that block SARS-CoV-2.

Three also stopped common cold coronaviruses, suggesting broad antiviral potential.

Folks have been really great about avoiding an emotionally charged tizzy over this one. Before I slip into my “but cameras were overreach” zone- here are some facts to temper that slide.
I listened to Toronto's (TO) infrastructure/environ committee hearing yesterday. I learned:

1. 95% of cameras are in SCHOOL zones, 5% in community SAFETY zones
2. # cameras doubled last yr (now 150) but tickets did NOT ie a deterrent, not a cash grab
3. TO is already using OTHER measures Ford touts

Knowing his own staffers determined this was impossible (or astronomically cost prohibitive at best) in 2018, why are we doing this again?
Ford's construction cronies aside, does anyone in ON want this tunnel? Does anyone in Canada (if they've heard of it) think it's a nation-building project? High speed rail will get commuters off the 401 - he should promote that if anything!

It is pessimistic, but argues that collapse is usually a precursor to more egalitarian and stable societies that follow.
