I second this recommendation---very clarifying and historically grounded perspective on LLMs/AI. Especially important as universities are pushing AI on faculty and students without much systemic understanding of the broader social context of technologies and information systems. @ncsce.bsky.social

As a person trained in three humanities disciplines, but who has worked in science education for thirty years, I totally agree...and a lot of important interventions in STEM ed have made the same point (e.g. AAAS Liberal Art of Science, 1990)
