It was an incredible panel and I absolutely cannot wait to experience Lestat’s own journey of confrontation and processing of his own trauma and damage and identity (how apropos the diva does so through becoming a rock star)!

Yup. Just another grift/scam of his. If there's any shred of earnest intent it's based on all those times he watched Total Recall (1990). He's rock hard at the thought of controlling a colony of people whom he effectively owns, torturing them to extract ever more resources to enrich his company.
