Something fitting about all of this being relegated to being indoors. It feels so claustrophobic and also like a funeral

This is terrifying, please consider supporting public broadcasting if you can. As the sources we used to think of as left-wing swerve away out of fear, indie media is becoming crucial if we’re ever going to get out of this nightmare.

3.75* A literary mystery of sorts, although we never get a full resolution, themes of loss and grief, maybe how little we understand each other. The structure & characters were interesting, and although I didn't really like the last 3rd, the first 2 sections were intriguing enough to make up for it.

This new piece by @rusty.todayintabs.com is just lovely — thinky and full of heartache about our country, which can be so generous and so cruel in the same breath wapo.st/3Z70usM (gift link)

Just joined and think I might post reads and reviews here rather than in Bezosland. I’m finally making my way through last year’s NYRB splurge, picked up My Death this morning and I’m obsessed. So weird in the best of ways.
