Oh, I hear you. I’m just noting that he was especially curmudgeonly.

I can imagine him having a fair bit of contempt for the Dems as well and ran as a Bull Moose.

Worse, in my opinion. Manchin at least has the excuse of being from WV. We really couldn’t expect a less bad option that would caucus with the Dems.

They mailed those out for free to people in specific areas with instructions to please give them away. I got one sent to me despite having done nothing (other than buying spices previously) to request it.

That is some faint praise!

It’s tough because on one hand, I have no trouble believing that the Biden comm team was incompetent. On the other hand though, I look at the press corps - including in 2020 - and can’t help but feel that a lot of them rather deserved to be treated with contempt.

I *completely* ruined the hunt with my clumsiness. I wasn't sure if my cat would *ever* forgive me. :)

Those were rare, even in Florida. Then I saw a streak of orange slinking across the lawn. Lil' dude was *not* play-hunting. Even aside from not wanting the bird to get hurt, I did *not* like the idea of what that beak could do to my cat. So I ran across the street, shouting and waving.

It was only the second most disgusted look I've gotten from a cat though. I grew up in central Florida, we adopted strays off the street, and could never convince them to be 100% indoor cats.

One day, I was looking across the street, admiring the heron in our neighbor's yard.

I adopted Nikki when I first moved out on my own, many moons ago. I was excited to get my first cat, so I bought him the fancy (for me) Purina One. When I went to buy more, Meow-Mix was on sale, so I got that.

You would not *believe* the look of disgust I got from him (ok, you probably would).

I’ve always felt a well-done remade/remastered version of Crusader: No Remorse could be really cool.

I'd probably be boring and try "buy Apple stock". They say money can't buy happiness, but I'm willing to try a controlled experiment!

The movie? It was ok - I don't regret having gone to see it in the theaters.

Sure, but then you have to stop yourself from eating a pound and a half of gorgonzola.
November 26, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Well, not that shocked.

Dana Loesch is also really, really bad.

I enjoyed them both, even if I kind of understand where the folks who had issues with their pacing are coming from. There were also some threads in the final book that were arguably a bit forced. (Suffice it to say that I'm *not* referring to the LGBT rep that a tiny minority complained about.)

And it was bad to start with!

Jesus. I'd be great if American and British journalism would stop competing in a race to the bottom.
