My rationale for the M5 over my M4-P, whose form factor I prefer, is this: normally, doing outdoors shooting, I'm more than happy to shoot without a light meter.
But a bunch of my shots in CBR may be night or interior shots, and that gets more complex.

Nothing but B&W film for the M5, and I chose the X-E5 because I've yet to have a good chance to use it properly.
Bringing the 23mm f/2.8 it comes with, and a vintage 1950s 35mm Leica lens with an adapter, too.

If anything I was generous by referring to genAI product as "incredibly mediocre". That's a best-case scenario.
