When everyone is inside, they all seem to want lots of artificial light. But most people say that if you can pop your Nepenthes in a southern facing window, you should be good. That glass will help filter the sun, too. :)

Honestly, everyone but the Nepenthes will want lots of light, in my experience, although I haven’t tried my ping in sunlight yet. The Nepenthes will tell you what it needs. Not enough light? The pitchers won’t deletion. Too much? The leaves will sunburn. Indirect but not shady sunlight is great!

The Nepenthes would appreciate that the most, and it will be the one that doesn’t want direct sunlight. You’ll find that the sarracenia will attract a surprising amount of bugs.

Nice combination! So they have different needs as far as temp and light. But yeah you don’t actually have to feed any of them. Insects are a bonus thing. If you want to feed them, you can buy something called Maxsea, which can be added to water and sprayed on their leaves.

The general rule is you don’t really need to feed carnivorous plants. :)

I have a concern about the future sizes of my Nepenthes, as I have been collecting the Victorians and they generally get humongous. I bounce between “be reasonable and keep the collection small” and “I WANT ALL THE THINGS.”
