@ericlipton.nytimes.com Hi Eric.
Trump has attacked 6 women reporters in a month, including Katie Rogers.
Yesterday it was a Black woman, Rachel Scott.
Does anyone at the Times - your editors, your White House correspondents, the WHCA - plan on saying or doing anything about the escalating abuse?

First, the strike was so good and legal they immediately shared video.

Then, Hegseth wasn’t there/didn’t know about survivors.

Then, “sure we’ll release the second video.”

Now, no, we won’t release the video but the strike was totally fine. Also it was up to “them.”
POLITICO: Do you believe the second strike was necessary?

TRUMP: Uhhhh. Well it looked like they were trying to turn back over the boat. But I don't get involved in that. That's up to them.

Corporations and ultra-rich individuals with numerous business interests cannot be trusted to prioritize the public’s right to know over their own bottom lines.

When billionaire conglomerates take control of media, it’s not a win for free speech. It’s a win for oligarchy.
If Paramount is allowed to take over Warner Bros. Discovery, the conservative billionaire Ellison family will control:

Paramount Studios
CBS
CNN
MTV
HBO
Comedy Central
Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network
Warner Bros.
DC Studios
Fandango
New Line Cinema
TNT Sports
TBS
Oracle

And more.

Lashing out at women in media, Trump can’t seem to help himself
In a trend that seems to be getting worse, the president is struggling to treat women who cover the White House with any modicum of respect or professionalism.

Any one of us could be in the next apartment building that ICE raids in the middle of the night.

Any one of us could be on the next boat that Trump bombs on a whim.

Any one of us could be detained for hours despite being a U.S. citizen.

I have planned & hosted these ceremonies at two different jobs, and I can 100% confirm that @kevinmkruse.bsky.social is 100% correct. And I would guess that probably 90% of people born in this country couldn’t pass the citizenship exam that new Americans have to pass to be naturalized.
If you've ever been to a naturalization ceremony, you know they're filled with people whose palpable love of this country is twenty times stronger than the pinched "patriotism" of any native-born MAGA chud.

Just unspeakable assholery.

Remember that California responded by passing Prop 50 last month.

Other states must also counteract Trump's attempt to steal the 2026 midterms.
