Guitar player/teacher/photographer in Manhattan.
Pro Trump and other annoying accounts blocked/muted on sight.
If only more people had voted for Hillary and Harris none of this crap would be demanded.
None of this blackmail, extortion, hostage taking.
USAID saving thousands of lives.
SNAP feeding poor Americans.
The Aca expanding instead of being destroyed.

This is a common outcome.
10 million strong opinions on what NOT to do.
Very few credible proposals of what TO do.
This is a mindset that often occurs when you lose the 2024 election to a cadre of fascists, and thus experience the negative consequences of that.

I'm picturing this white plastic humanoid robot with a "T" stamped on it's head.
Just tapping the white collar criminal on the shoulder as he types away at a keyboard.
"Sir, you are breaking the law, please stop."

Like, maybe the people who voted for Kaine have been calling him?
Telling him to end the shutdown because it was throwing their lives into chaos?
And that continuing the shutdown was no guarantee of preventing healthcare premiums from going up, since that's what the majority party wants?
November 11, 2025 at 7:54 PM
easier to call someone "evil" or a "back stabber" etc than to analyze the actual reality.
Putting a moral label on Tim Kaine might feel righteous on blue sky, but it fails to see the situation clearly.
The internet denizen tends to myopia.
As tho only their particular perspective is real.
November 11, 2025 at 7:51 PM
I've seen 1000 posts saying Schumer made premiums go up.
That is just not reality.
If you want to replace the guy in 2028 (that's the next opportunity) go work on that longterm project.
But let's not just make things up.
GOP wants to kill the ACA period.
They are in the majority for another year.
November 11, 2025 at 7:30 PM
A key point that people "on here" simply disregard.
As tho having a stronger opinion on blue sky means one is more representative of the electorate in purple areas than the median voter who actually lives there and doesn't post obsessively.
November 11, 2025 at 7:20 PM
I see so many opinions on here that simply pretend the median voter in purple areas don't exist.
As tho the behavior of centrist dems in these areas is some evil mystery.
I'm telling you...it's not a mystery.
These constituents are simply not living in your headspace.
They see things differently.

My most nihilistic self has always wanted to see an extremely faithful adaptation of the novella.
Including the ending.
Not a financially plausible thing, clearly.
Sure would be something tho.

This is what Trump actually thinks about veterans:
bsky.app/profile/elig...
I'm old enough to remember when Trump called veterans "suckers" and "losers".
Happy veterans day....

Only when you know the reality, and it is a hard reality, can you construct public policy that is not just ideologically satisfying but actually WORKS.
Policy that actually improves things.
Anyway, here's to hoping.

It is one thing to give a speech about mental healthcare.
Or do viral videos, press releases, etc.
It is another thing to talk to the people that work in the system.
Hear their experiences.
Take their opinions SERIOUSLY.
Unlike most people, they know of what they speak.
November 11, 2025 at 7:03 PM
The deficiencies in mental healthcare in New York are vast.
Hopefully Mamdani and Hochul have time and inclination to talk to these "foot soldiers".
Really LISTEN to them.
Hear them describe what the current system is like.
How circular and deficient it really is.
The infinite revolving door.
November 11, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Will the median voter remember ANY of this in 2028? 2027, if they ever really knew what the issue was in the first place?
Schumer probably retires, regardless.
So all of this anger serves no purpose that I can see but venting in public.
*Focus positive energy on those you support*
November 11, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Do these people even know Schumer isn't up for reelection until 2028?
What is the point of all the anger?
All it does is say to a casual observer "huh, I guess dem bad, eh?"
If we are honest and clear headed, does obsessively attacking this guy help win the midterms in any way?
I don't see it.
November 11, 2025 at 6:20 PM
KISS is useful.
Keep it simple, stupid.
If the goal TRULY is to flip congress, and I certainly hope it is, then posting reasons to elect democrats would be the logical thing to do.
Obsessing on old Schumer who isn't up for election until 2028?
I really don't see the point, other than venting.
November 11, 2025 at 6:13 PM
People pretend now that it was only upside to keep the shutdown going indefinitely.
Snap benefits, airport staffing, furloughed employees worth it.
millionaires in the senate sacrificing snap recipients.
Easy to say, now that it's not happening.
More difficult to actually live through that reality.
November 11, 2025 at 6:10 PM
A lot of people apparently don't want to win the midterms.
They want Trump to keep control of congress, apparently.
that's the energy I'm seeing.
Ratio of anti Trump to anti Dem posts is favoring the latter.
I might argue that is not a useful thing.
Counterproductive.
November 11, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Hopeful but also apocalyptic.
Both types of predictions seem to be a human comfort device.
The key is the sense of control that comes from making a certain prediction about an uncertain world.
