One major concern for the Bulls against the Pelicans ...

Chicago's D gives up 55.4 points in the paint per game (28th). Can you guess which team is tied with the Bulls for the highest % of shots at the rim (per Cleaning the Glass? New Orleans.

Physicality needs to be there.
November 24, 2025 at 5:53 PM
Something encouraging: Josh Giddey is taking 41% of his FGAs at the rim (career-high). Floaters will always be part of his game, but using his size more to get inside was a key part of his 2nd half surge last year.

It's also a big reason he's averaging 7.0 FTAs so far this year!

Playing the Ghosts of Bulls Past ...

Matas Buzelis is 3-4 from the field with 7 PTS in less than 4mins.

A reminder ahead of tonight's Bulls-Hawks game ...

Ayo Dosunmu is 9-2 against Trae Young over his career. He has held him to 43% shooting. Meanwhile, Dosunmu has shot 50.2% against the Hawks, including 15-20 in his last two games.

He LOVES playing Atlanta lol
October 27, 2025 at 4:38 PM
The Chicago Bulls went 26-32 from the free-throw line last night.

They made 26 FTs in only three games total last season.

Buzelis was 7-7. Giddey was 8-11. Very encouraged to see from the jump.
October 23, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Bulls (shockingly) up 64-49 on Pistons at halftime.

What really stands out ...

• 11-0 advantage in 2nd chance points
• 13-14 from the FT line
• 17 ASTs on 22 FGM

The physcality they've talked about is showing up in REB and FT departments. Off-ball movement is also awesome.

This feels like it happens every season ...

The Bulls always downplay an injury only to slap on multiple weeks of recovery at the final hour. It's just so befuddling.

Why even still set opening night as an expectation when you rule out White for the entire preseason?

It’s just not normal for a six-foot-ten dude to be able to do all of this — let alone at 21 years old.

Matas Buzelis’ versatility has jumped off the screen more and more in this preseason. The Bulls have a real building block here.
October 13, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Noa Essengue’s length and open floor speed is immediately a big advantage.

He has the potential to be incredibly disruptive on D. You also have to respect his feel for drawing contact.

Has gotten to the line twice in each preseason game. And he’s averaging only 14mins played!
October 13, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Noa Essengue had a pretty solid debut for the Bulls last night.

Played fewer than 14 MINs but made his presence felt. You can tell his mobility will catch opposing frontcourts off guard. Did a nice job attacking the rim and drawing contact, too.

8 PTS, 5 REB (3 OREB), +12

Matas Buzelis is SUPER involved to begin this game.

I know this isn't some kind of scholarly take, but it says a lot that he doesn't ever disappear when out there. You always notice him.

His combo of size and skill level is just so rare.
October 8, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Ayo Dosunmu is looking VERY comfortable in his first action since shoulder surgery in March.

He's up to 8 PTS on a perfect 3-3 shooting in just 4 minutes off the bench. Great to see.

Btw I'm trying to learn more about the clock app (aka TikTok, aka where the young whippersnappers hang out).

It'll be mostly sports/BN stuff, but also some life in Chicago stuff! Follow and make fun of me ...

Josh Giddey may not be a perfect player, but the Chicago Bulls didn't pay him like one.

If the organization wants to build around youth and fix one of its long-standing weaknesses (the PG position), this contract is a fine gamble to make IMO.

Players currently making $25.0 mil a year:

- Naz Reid
- Draymond Green
- Anfernee Simons
- John Collins

Overall, Josh Giddey's new deal is tied for the 78th-highest paid contract in the NBA, per Spotrac.

Totally fine deal. Don't freak out lol

Candace Parker Jersey retirement night at Wintrust Arena.

Fans (and there are tons of them) being greeted with a signature pin and a t-shirt. It’s going to be quite the night

Back on Sky duty tonight ...

The Sky have missed some open looks in this first half, but the offense looks pretty comfortable coming off the win over Mystics.

Some solid ball movement and some really good cuts to the rim. They've assisted on 11 of their first 13 made FGs to build 29-23 lead.

As fans file in for Part II of Sky-Fever at the United Center, they’re (ironically) greeted by two of the Sky’s biggest stars.

Neither Courtney Vandersloot or Angel Reese will be on the floor. Ariel Atkins and Hailey Van Lith also out. Fever missing Caitlin Clark.

Tough.

Jahmir Young vs Bucks

37 PTS
12-17 FG
6-7 3PT
7-9 FT

Tied for the most points ever in a Bulls Summer League game, according to the broadcast.

Dude was a walking bucket today.

Sky fought hard, but it’s nearly impossible to beat this Lynx team twice. Doesn’t help that Sky also lost Ariel Atkins and Michaela Onyenwere to injury.

This team has improved a lot over the last couple of weeks, though. Finally establishing a tough and unselfish identity.

Only 12 players in the WNBA have averaged at least 15.0 PTS and 7.0 REB over the last month. The Chicago Sky have two of those players: Angel Reese & Kamilla Cardoso.

Reese is also the only player in the WNBA to be averaging a double-double this season.
