1) longer benefit durations or higher benefit levels are more distortionary
2) if their effects interact
3) if more generous benefits increase entry to unemployment
4) what the welfare implications are

📣‼️New working paper:
Men's bottom earnings in Germany have fallen since 2001, while women's have risen. Why? Fewer hours for men, more for women.
Yet, net income tells a different story. Poverty persists, but the welfare state softens the blow.
