I had also discussed with my GM to have my shadow always one "shape" out of step. When I was kayal (humanoid), she was hybrid form, when I was hybrid, she was in full "mantis" form. And when I was a mantis, she was in humanoid form. xD I even comissioned some art of her. :3
An anthropormorphic mantis with a dark brown skin and purple renaissance tunic with puffy sleeves. her right hand rest on her sheated rapier tied to her belt. She has light lavender colored wings ppositioned to almost look like a cape. Her face is very rounded, drawn in a very cute and friendly style. He shadow is projected on a nearby white wall, but the shape is that of an actual giant mantis, with 4 legs and two bladed arms.
