I'm such a nerd for energy data, I probably should have gotten a L2 charger (with this data reporting) sooner. I'm sure I'll figure out something fun to do with this data...

As a former crystallography student, it gives me great pleasure to see Wegmans experimenting with more dense packing layouts for bottled water.

When I was a student, we had a homework assignment about the most efficient packing method for soda cans!

A somewhat surprising update:

I do like that I can spy on her progress through the app. Seems to be going ok with the fast charging.

Folks, it is the year 2025 and Word's grammar checker is suggesting that I should change "fewer" to "less few".

The average age at the #nokings protest in suburban Brighton, NY must be 40-50 years old.

Also, lots of veterans and they're letting you know.

And for my Dutch friends on here: yes, I am at Efteling and, yes, it is tremendous.

Efteling has this nice European garden-design green/solar roof on their flagship ride, just for the benefit of those looking down from the flying pagoda.

A bit of current policy relevance too: we considered scenarios with permanent storage tax credits or a version that expires within 5 years. If subsidies are expected to expire, expensive storage is added today at much lower quantities - a sub-optimal outcome. Policy certainty is good!

We generally find that 5-10 yrs from now seems to be the optimal time to add batteries, and that a lot more batteries are added to our solar plant if we wait some time for the addition. The figure here, for CAISO, shows NPV and inverter/battery quantity if we "force" certain years for the additions.
