This came today! I’m so excited 🤗

Currently I edit my novel (I swear this the LAST time, I can’t keep doing this), my poetry ms & some slight edits for short stories that have been accepted & are close to pub. I need to work on sth new asap, such as my 2nd novel & new poems, I bought pencils, notebooks & everything! I’m ready!

I often wonder what person would I’ve become had not xyz happened, what better version of myself I’ve lost. Can I shape me into this better self now & somehow negate the past?
Alas. We cannot change the past. We can only accept it as it was. And lead a meaningful life to the best of our abilities.

A warm and much-needed poetry acceptance landed on my email. Days like this, I feel like I belong.
Yesterday it was particularly hard. I wrote on my diary, the more I try to connect, the more lonely I am. And then wrote the first lines of a poem with ancient Greek imagery. #writer #poetry

I learnt sth about myself today: I might be good at writing cyberpunk. Through a writing exercise I produced a piece so good that scared me. I love cyberpunk, but I never tried to write sth as I thought I wasn't good enough. And now I can't sleep bcs I can't stop thinking about it. #writing

Owing to screen time effect after 8+ hrs of daily work, I now write my 1st drafts on paper bcs I can't look at the screen anymore. Do I write slower than before? Yes. Am I a slow writer in general? Yes. Is there any hope for improvement? No. Am I OK with that? Yes 😀 #writer
