The never ending discussion in gamedev
Grumpy dev: kids today have it too easy with all those engines and tools. I miss the old days in which only the real programmers made games. Modern dev: unity and game maker are great tools that democratized the game development process! Grumpy dev: unity is a plague! Horrible performance! Devs should learn how to optimize and write their own engine! Modern dev: there are great indie games with cool ideas.
