Earlier this week E84-er Julia Signell visited the European Space Agency (ESA) remote sensing facility outside of Rome to hammer out the details of how to represent #Zarr data in STAC.

In the wake of #EOSummit2025, our CRO Zoe shared her feeling that the divide between public and private sector conversations represents a large gap in our understanding of Earth Observation.

We're continuing the conversation about gaps in EO -- this time with insight from Ryan, one of our Senior Software Engineers.

He shared his thoughts on the strengths of the industry's collaborative culture, and what challenges still remain.

As we continue to lean into conference season, we're continuing our discussions about gaps in #EOData and beyond.

This specific conversation centered around future improvements to Scientific #Python, according a member of the Pangeo community.

Chris Holmes summed it up in his keynote, proposing switching from "geospatial infrastructure" to "geospatial ecosystem" to emphasize interoperability & cooperation.

There is a gap in #EarthObservation surrounding disaster response.

Our latest featured community insight surrounding gaps in EO data dives into why this is so crucial.
