Watching this being drawn when I was 3 was a pivotal moment in my childhood and it’s an absolute joy to have it in my possession especially now both my parents have gone. I recognise all the ornaments and fittings in the illustration and can see my mum dusting them in the morning before we opened.

My sister visited the pub this weekend and today she turned up with the framed drawing. The landlady said it was only on loan from the previous tenants (my folks!) and it was mine if I wanted it. All she asked for was a print of it in return. I haven’t seen this since I was 18 when we left the pub.

I had to do it today too. The trick is to let the card lapse, and one automatic payment fail. They'll send you an email with a link to the invoice and a button to pay it. Easy peasy!
