Farage nominated for the Fifa prize too?
Dear Diary: Big News! Donald called to say he's putting me forward for the FIFA Prize for Economics!! So exciting. I might wait until after that ceremony before joining all my tory buddies at Яeform. Nigel still sending bouquets. He's such a tease but they stink of fag ash.

If Ofcom actually existed, GB News wouldn't.

What saddens me is I'm from the US and am used to seeing this misogyny in the US press, but after living nearly 30 years in the UK, I always thought Britain was better than this. But here we are.

I'm reading Joao de Vale de Almeida's book Divorce of Nations right now and he is very incisive about Britain's confusion as to what it wants and what it can obtain post Brexit.

And the quality of produce has really declined in the UK IMHO, as well as the quality of butchering etc. I don't see how people get by with a "weekly shop" anymore-stuff goes off too quickly. Inflation + declining quality is a problem with no apparent solution in sight.

Jury nullificaton is an important consideration. It happens. Is that justice? Often quite contentious.

But then I don't understand the need to get creative to encourage people to work especially if they've saved for the purpose of retiring when they still may be able to enjoy retirement.

I think the French believe that retirement is 2-phased: your 60s when you can still enjoy retirement (travel, grand-kids) & later years when health conditions may prevent a lot of activities (eg, renting a car abroad over a certain age, travel insurance costs). So if you can manage, why not retire?

I think a country where children can't go to a birthday party without risk of being shot is a defeated country. Graffiti or gun deaths? Not exactly a tough choice.

I’m quite enjoying the 180 turn on a six pence from “you’ve wrecked the economy and created a black hole” to “there was no black hole and this is even worse”.
