We specifically wanted to make sure it did not tell a single story, but rather examined connections and provocations, so we deliberately sought authors from a wide range of disciplines and locations, exploring a range of different subjects which might be framed as within social welfare

It is massively exciting to be able to say our Research Handbook on Social Welfare Law is now available. The other editors and I are delighted with how it has turned out- we believe it contains compelling accounts of social welfare law from around the world, and a wide-ranging future agenda

The sooner the British Museum returns all the stuff, and focuses instead on brilliant exhibitions like the Silk Roads, the better. Can really recommend it, tracing culture, ideas, religion, trade and beautiful things. Just look at this 1500 year old glass from Egypt, which was discovered in Korea.

Very pleased to be part of this collection. Maria Fernanda Salcedo Repoles from UMFG and I discuss her work in Minas Gerais, to explore the ways law operates as part of a system in which life is disposable and ungrievable, but might also offer the possibility of resistance to such a framing.
