But of course. That’s the point - if we forget how to care about other actual humans, it becomes even easier for rapacious, greedy, capitalist billionaires to exploit and destroy them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Class is a deeply complex concept that has very little to do with money or income and everything to do with breeding, culture, tastes, values and behaviours. It’s also so deeply embedded in the national psyche that you won’t get a clear answer as other replies indicate.

I think you mean Reform Ltd., the privately owned company masquerading as a political party that members pay to join without any membership rights.

Maybe it’s the fault of women in the workplace?

Wholeheartedly agree. He’s been a malign actor from the outset.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
November 9, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Surely it would make more sense to boycott the shitty digital world for the day too- they’re the 💩💩💩 destroying the planet, democracy and lives. And agree we should buy local that day if we need to buy.

Perhaps. But one of them is also significantly less safe than the other.

You can get humane traps on (evil Amazon). I’ve caught a few the cats brought in who managed to get away, then released them safely. They say to use peanut butter in the traps but they always loved the cat biscuits more. I couldn’t let the valiant survivors be fed to lions. No Nero’s in this house.

By ‘controversial’, you mean ‘illegal’ - stealing is a crime here.

Kate Garraway’s been busy - what with being journalist, TV presenter, celebrity traitor and now a politician?! She works fast!

The answer is always ‘worse’ - AI makes everything worse except for the already inflated bank accounts of its investors.
November 8, 2025 at 11:24 AM
Yup. And I’m willing to bet my head the job description person requirement didn’t include ‘woefully under qualified’, ‘charisma of a mildewed dish cloth’, or‘ intellect of a parking meter’, but must have contained ‘willing to abandon all dignity & prostrate self at the Tory/Reform altar’. Loathsome

I find him unwatchable. And since I learned how he was appointed, the mere sight of him fills me with rage. He is inept, woefully inept.

Why is Bluesky your sole source of information? If you want to know what’s on X, go on X.
November 6, 2025 at 11:57 PM
We knew he was racist.

What makes you think posting a screenshot of a tweet on here is the only way to know a thing? And it’s presumptuous to assume discomfort is the only effect one can experience.

Yes; not great for the mental health to be reminded of these frothing loons.

Disgraceful these places can claim charity status. Also, Frost is proof that for a certain class, failing upwards is always an option.

Hard agree. 👍

Some of us are old enough to remember the dotcom bubble. This is worse. But those tech broligarchs need their ROI at any cost, right?
November 6, 2025 at 6:29 PM
I’ve been thinking about this thread since I read it yesterday & while I agree, I think it’s important we get over our British tendency to just leave an awkward silence & start challenging these ghouls for their repugnant views that have no place in society. It’s time to laugh, shame, or judge.

It really is possible to see inflated CEO pay, a class system that upholds the generational wealth of an aristocracy founded upon enclosure & theft of public lands, & neoliberal economics as all part of the same problem if you’re not blinded by a fragile ego’s need to sneer at strangers. Try it.
November 6, 2025 at 1:27 PM
It’s the rot of neoliberalism’s meritocracy lies - rich idiots believe they are rich because they are better than people who are not, when most of them come from generational wealth and privilege. I believe it’s time we point and laugh at these fools.

Cornish person here. The mongrel immigrant invaders claim being here in the tenth century makes them British? Pah! We were trading with the Phoenicians at least a millennium earlier.
