Went to the GP, and I’m still not used to signing in there! Instead of going to reception to deadname yourself, you just tap your DOB and the first letter of your surname on a screen! My GP…is not very good past that.

Out of curiosity, what's the "in" thing for writing free e-novels these days? It used to be Wattpad, but I've not heard anyone talk about that in a long time. Archive of Our Own? Pixiv??

Rewatching Shield Hero and...I'm surprised at the lack of language options. Normally Netflix offers a thousand dubs, and a billion more subtitles, yet it's just English subs, and EN/JP for the audio. It's not like it's a small series, either. It's quite popular.

I've heard this a lot but I'm not sure I understand what it means.
What's the distinction?
When I learn a word, it gets filed under "synonym with this nuance" and that applies across languages.
Is it like "I need to think in X language, then convert it" or?

Apparently I had this set to just English, Japanese and Spanish...just gonna *Adds all the other languages I'm learning...also Esperanto*
Which as a reminder, Bsky has had a sizeable korean and japanese population for ages, and unfortunately this setting could mean you're missing out on a lot of cool people. This is not a preference or what you post, this -limits- what languages you see! Set it to nothing!

To those who've used IPL devices for hair removal: how long did it take for it to start showing results?
Also, did you ever feel discomfort when using it?
I'm going to have to set mine to max because I can't feel where I've zapped at lower power settings!

I've seen in some games that it is written NIV, but sometimes it is written as NV. (Similar to how English will write Lvl or LV.)

I'll probably keep the honorifics but when reading manga, do you prefer the translation to have honorifics to maintain the character relationship, or remove them to make the English more natural?
