I think for (2) most people won't act if they don't see legislative assemblies making climate change a common cause (nothing good comes from turning 'the environment' into a political football.
Two of the most common climate misconceptions I see, even among knowledgeable folks, are that (1) most people aren't worried about climate change, and (2) if they were, they'd act.

Not true! Data show (1) most people are worried, but (2) they won’t act if they don’t know what to do-and most don’t.

On CBC Radio the "regressive movements" that are pushing anti-vaxxers to confront their doctors with misinformation is being discussed.

The Canadian Medical Association is concerned that there is a war on Science.

Good to hear they're on Team Science. How about supporting respirators & clean air?

It’s concerning me how overconfident people who want Pierre Poilievre to lose are sounding right now.

It’s reminding me how sure people were that Trump would lose.

Dont let Trump win in Canada.

POLLS DON’T WIN ELECTIONS. TURNOUT DOES.

Don’t assume.

Vote.

Anyway, let people like Danielle Smith and Preston Manning expose themselves for what they are: selfish, petty pro-MAGA ideologues, more interested in pursuing a narrow vision that sees Alberta as little more than the oil industry. Most Albertans are better than that.

Not a fan of Carney but, as an academic, this is yet another example of a partisan smear in the guise of a serious review of his thesis. The timing and the source (National Post) tells us what we need to know.

I miss the Crombie kind of Tory.
There was a special moment at the recent Elbows Up meeting at Metropolitan United Church.
After his speech, the Honourable David Crombie came over to me and gave me a warm embrace.
Thank you Donald Trump for bringing so many people from such diverse views together.
We are team Canada.

Few remember this but at the start of the 1974 Canadian federal election the writs were dropped from the top of the under-construction CN Tower. CN, a crown corp then, wanted to creat excitement around the tower & Elections Canada thought youth would be inspired to vote.

Want even more evidence that Poilievre and Trump think Canadians are dumb?

Trump thinks by lying (obviously) that he hopes the Liberals will win, he’ll help his mini-me Poilievre argue that he’s not really MAGA.

Sad, predictable checkers move.

There’s zero chance Trump wants to deal with Carney.
Trump’s stated preference for a Liberal win shows why Canadians should vote Conservative, Poilievre says

Yes, and having their egos stroked...by minions and mountains of $.
Trump, Musk, Vance, et al don't care what the NY Times says. They don't care what anyone says. They are completely and utterly psychopathic criminals and will continue to destroy, maim, murder, steal and lie until the day they die. They only gain pleasure from other people's pain and suffering.

Surely this man realizes that, with all the global turmoil now, voters need to know that he has the appropriate security clearance for a potential prime minister before casting their votes.
Poilievre is STILL putting party over country by refusing to get his security clearance. It would be a simple #TeamCanada move — yet he won’t do it.

That’s Poilievre. But it’s just not Canada.
