Gas prices were stable through fall 2024, then starting climbing steadily at the start of 2025. Yes, oil prices are down (thanks to weak demand, not a good thing!) but gas prices have been going up under Trump. It is amazing how little pushback MAGA talking heads get on this point.

Over the past week, many MAGA-friendly pundits have been talking about how Trump has brought down gas prices. This is flatly not true, and I wish more journalists would call them on the BS! Gas prices have been trending steadily upward since Trump took office.
