New data from the LAURA trial shared at #ELCC25 today shows promising results for Stage 3 unresectable EGFR+ #lungcancer.

Giving osimertinib after chemoradiation meant people went much longer before needing further treatment — over 40 months, compared to just 9 months without it. #LCSM

MARIPOSA confirms a survival benefit—amivantamab + lazertinib shows a 25% OS advantage (60% alive at 3 years) vs osimertinib in advanced EGFR+ #lungcancer.

A breakthrough—but people in the UK are still waiting for access.

MARIPOSA shows a 25% OS benefit for amivantamab + lazertinib vs osimertinib in newly diagnosed EGFR+ advanced #lungcancer.

A big moment—but not simple. Side effects, IV treatment & QoL all matter.

& right now, this option isn’t available for our UK EGFR+ community.

After Christine passed away in Oct 2024, her husband Sean met with her GP surgery to discuss her delayed EGFR+ #lungcancer diagnosis.

Now, Banbury Cross Health Centre has made lung cancer in non-smokers part of their GP training.

EGFR+ doesn’t fit the usual profile - that leads to late diagnosis.

1/2 are < 60
3/4 at Stage 4
Most are women
68% never smoked

Symptoms get dismissed, referrals delayed & #lungcancer isn’t considered until everything else is ruled out. By then, it’s Stage 4.

Our 2024 survey showed #EGFR+ #lungcancer patients face immense mental & emotional challenges, >1/4 likely have diagnosable depression. We can't provide direct crisis support, but we've launched a new directory to guide patients to the support they need 💜 egfrpositive.org.uk/crisis-support #LCSM

For people with #lungcancer, improving muscle strength can cut the risk of dying by 19% & cardiorespiratory fitness can lower it by 31%.
