Did the commentator really say an owl "would give it a go" in a fight with a lion? Why would the owl not just fly away?

I love this thread but I fear Rotherhamians will really dislike that picture

I always struggle with medical terms so I thought I'd run this through a translator quickly, just off to ring the doctor to get booked in for a Diphthermy-Rotation-Wanking Cough Buzzer jab

"Violence specialists" is a delightful term

They're excellent. A major reason we live here, the comparison in my hometown is pretty grim

The raiding was apparently not all bad for the raidees long term, as they had to develop their economy in order to pay the danegeld and avoid getting raided! And then they settled coastal regions with raiders who had an incentive not to rape and pillage quite so much. It says here

Today's sports infrastructure. Loads of parents here today. Relatively new, in a well-off neighbourhood, weather is Baltic and this big structure has no cafe/bar/clubhouse/restaurant. Such a waste

Sure there are places I can drink and watch sport! But idk why Finnish clubs don't want that kind of community hub. The day my kids stop playing football I will never do anything for their club ever again, it's a bit sad
