so apparently an ammonite died and fell to the bottom of a lagoon and was dragged across the sand by the current for 20+ feet before falling over and now over 100 million years later we can still see the fossilized drag path behind it and I’m genuinely crying

one time as a kid I woke up with a southern accent and told my mom I got it from the neely’s and she was convinced I had a whole family of imaginary friends. took her months to figure out that they were real people on the cooking channel. I was southern for ages and no one could figure out why
