HB 1795 would help prevent other kids from going through what they did. We must prioritize early intervention, mental health support, and teacher trainings.

These interventions have lasting effects. Adults who were isolated and restrained as kids talk about living with PTSD as adults.

Isolation and restraint has no therapeutic of education benefit. These practices are terrifying for students and can cause injury, lifelong harm, and trauma, including PTSD for students and staff. Restraint can cause death by asphyxiation.

We MUST pass this bill this year.
