Hello new followers! A quick introduction... I'm Edward Ross, an Edinburgh-based comic artist, mainly making non-ficiton comics!

My most strongly held comics opinion (I hesitate to say "opinion," because it's a fact): lettering should be the first finished thing done, not the last. Done after (or along with) roughs and finalized before pencils. Pencils and inking should be done AROUND the lettering.

On the train to Thought Bubble! Maybe see you (yes, YOU) at the @averyhill.bsky.social Exhibition at the Mercer Gallery tonight? If not, hopefully see you at table C36 in Comixology Hall 🖤
🚨 This weekend, I’ll be tabling @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social!

It’s been 10 years since tabling solo. I’m excited to return to the most important festival in the UK comics calendar, but also surprisingly anxious.

Come find me at COMIXOLOGY HALL C36 and give me an encouraging pat on the back.

I wouldn't have made comics if I hadn't shown the first four pages I'd ever drawn in a portfolio review at the first Thought Bubble I ever attended. Just that little nudge helped. Just life-changing. And I know a lot of us would say the same.

SOUP: The Society Of Unexplaned Phenomena has been fully funded! Thanks so much if you've backed it.

There's still plenty of time, so I've added a couple of stretch goals.

Want to see me do a dramatic reading of part of the comic? First stretch goal is £800
