Contract signed! My book - "Purges: How Dictators Fight to Survive" - will be out with Cornell UP, likely in early 2026.

The list of people I have to thank is long, and I'll do so in future, but for now it's just gratifying to know that the end of the road is in sight.

Pro tip, don't go to the dentist on the same day you're lecturing 100+ students. Not CJ-level bad, but not ideal🤦🏻‍♂️
