For those who are not in the know: the choosing of your new name as Pope is not arbitrary. Traditionally, the cardinal’s choice of their new Pope name is a symbolic indicator of how you admired the policies of the previous Pope who had the name, and how you hoped to emulate their life.

Just in case anyone starts believing in Danielle Smith’s recent pro-Canada anti-Trump rhetoric.
It’s the most Canadian way of saying, « I phrased this in the worst way, because if America annexed Canada, nothing would ever happen to a privileged guy like me, so I don’t care how I phrased it. But now that every Canadian is revolted by me, I need to save my job. »

In these uncertain « tarif-y » times, be sure to support your local farmers market. The prices were already a little high, but they’re not going up (everything is usually more local), so we’re keeping the money where it needs to go!
