1 op de 6 studenten in Limburg is Duits. In studiejaar 2023/’24 volgden bijna 22000 Duitse studenten een opleiding aan een universiteit of hogeschool in Nederland. Hiervan studeren er 6400 in Limburg. Ook Belgische studenten volgen hun studie het vaakst in Limburg.
