I think the administration wanted to spin the crash as a mini Kristallnacht but instead it grimly reminded us of how bad they are at running the most basic of government functions.

The key point here is "we will not obey." We need more of that from state officials. We need refusal from everyone who the administration will rely upon to work its will in the world, from governors to teachers, social workers, doctors, and other everyday people in the streets. Refusal is essential.
JB Pritzker flat out says the birthright "order" is unconstitutional and "we will not obey an unconstitutional order," attacks Trump for having the oligarchs in the front row.
